Vision Boards: A Celebration

Nine of us converged on Alley Art Studio last night to put the finishing touches on our Vision Boards. We initially gathered last Thursday evening, but we had barely begun cutting our images when the clock struck 9:00 pm. We all agreed we wanted to reconvene this week to finish up and share our boards.

Several women had already done their gluing and the rest of us came prepared to adhere our images. We set about gluing, using Golden’s matte medium for the papers and the durable E-6000 for the heavier items.

When everyone was finished, we had a little “gallery” walk where we shared what we had created.

And here is my board:

Oh Dayna, it looks so cool framed like that. I never thought of using an ornate frame; only a poster frame. I didn't finish mine, but now you have inspired me. This is much more my style. and WHEN (not if) I finish mine, I will hunt down an ornate frame. and maybe I will alter the frame too! I want to live there and take your classes. LOL. Juanita

wow, the frame really makes a difference. lots of people & faces in yours: can you share your vision here, or is it private?

Thanks for asking about my Vision Board, Gretchin, and it isn't private at all. My Vision Board represents my desire to be creative during 2009. I chose images that I like and styles that speak to me. I don't want to copy these styles, but I want to have the imagery in front of me on a daily basis. In one area, there is a tiny brown sack and inside are images of other goals: to lose a few pounds, get fit once again, and to claim a space at a house we rent in Astoria. These aren't glued onto my board because they aren't the most important things to me; for now, cultivating my creativity is what I'm wanting to keep alive and manifest daily.

These all look great. That frame on your board is the perfect finishing touch!

What a cool idea to actually PLAN a Vision Board rather than let it gather over time. Interesting...
