A Traipsing Kinda Day

What a day! We spent all day traipsing around Antibes, where we did a little bit of everything: Picasso Musee, a special exhibit by Jaume Plensa that moved me to tears, looked for more doors to photograph, pretty street scenes, flea markets, shops, A VEGETARIAN RESTAURANT, clay heads embedded in an alley rock wall, a little train trip, cappucinos, and a funky little education museum.

We're pooped. Time to do a little reading before turning out the lights. Tomorrow? Taking the train to Monaco.

Hi Mom and Dad. Our class just caught up on all your tootling around France. Here are some of their comments, "I liked the part where your heads are going to be chopped off....I liked the creepy doll at the end, and the creepy faces...I liked the statues...I liked the sculpture with all the letters...I liked the horse head...I liked the catapults."

Here are some questions for you...

Did you buy one of the creepy doll heads?

When you get home, will you take a picture of your boat for us to see?

At the Picasso Museum, what was the pile of clay statues outside? The one that looked like an eye?

Keep having fun! We will check out your journies tomorrow!
xoxox,

Hi Melissa and kids,

Thanks for your comments and your great questions. Here are our answers:

Nope, haven't bought a creepy doll or doll head YET. We saw even more creepy dolls today at a flea market, stay tuned for some photos.

Yes, we will send a photo of our boat when we get home (or you could have Ms. Staley go to the 4th of July on my blog and see some photos there so you don't have to wait).

You are correct about the sculpture at the Picasso Museum - there were two eyes and they were BIG ones.

Keep your questions coming. Howard and I have been gathering a few little gifts for all of you . . .
