Travel Post #13: Greece - Three in One

We spent three consecutive days in Greece on three different islands and three different cities. We cruised at night, arriving in the port by morning. Here are are three stops.

Saturday: Corfu

At the end of the day, we got cleaned up and changed for some evening nightlife. It was a Saturday night, after all.

Sunday: Argostoli

A little afternoon rest (and pampering) back on board the ship.

In the late afternoon, we cast off.

And we did room service for dinner . . . .

Monday: Santorini

We visited both Oia and Thira, taking the local bus to Oia for a couple of hours before returning to Thira. To get up the steep hill, we opted for the cable car this time around (I walked down last week when we were here - all 285 steps and most of them covered in donkey dung!).

We returned to a favorite little cappuccino spot in Oia and got to visit again with our young Greek friend.

Back to the ship in time for an afternoon snooze in the library on the 11th floor, the Observation Deck.

So you’ve gone to Santorini! That place is just magical! It’s one of the most beautiful places in Greece, and it’s definitely a must-see. The low-lying cubical houses there are what make that place historically and culturally significant. And one of the things that you should never forget to do there is to watch the sunset. Did you do that?
