Travel Post #17: An Unplanned Port - Cagliari, Italy

We received word late on Friday night that due to predicted high winds, the ship would not be going into the Livorno port. This meant no trip into Florence. Fortunately, we had been in Florence for several days four years ago, so we weren't overly disappointed. In place of Livorno, we headed to the Italian island of Cagliari, Sardinia. Never heard of it, but okay. We had a leisurely walk into town. BOOM! We immediately fell in love with the city.

We visited the Museo Del di Cagliari and then the Cathedral of Cagliari. Beautiful.

Outside the cathedral, a couple had just got married.

After the Cathedral, we visited a modern art museum, the Artico Palazza di Citta.

While wandering aimlessly around the city, we stumbled upon the Parliament building. What a surprise.

Howard even made an argument to a rapt audience!

A Pringle potato chip machine? Really?

There has been a lot of graffiti in all the cities we've visited, but the graffiti in Cagliari seemed to be a cut above.
