Three Little Monkeys

I got to spend last Thursday afternoon with two of my very favorite people (Steph and Tory) doing one of my very favorite things (junking around Portland)! Here's a link to Tory's recent post about our afternoon.

After attending our monthly Portland Art Collective meeting on Thursday morning, and after lunch at the Lucky Labrador in Multnomah Village, we set out for SE Portland with Stephanie as our guide.

First stop was Bernadette Breu. Oooolala (but bring your checkbook). Fortunately for you, it doesn't cost a thing to look at photos of all the goodies we discovered at Bernadette's.

Next up: The Needle, a thrift store located on SE 37th off of Hawthorne. The great thing about this thrift shop (in addition to having a lot of cool stuff) is that it is a commercial fund raiser for Juvenile Diabetes Education and Research and pro environmental causes. You can shop and support two worthy causes! The store is open seven days a week from about 2:45 until 6:00 p.m.

Our final stop of the day was at Shadowhouse Collectibles on 42nd and Hawthorne. They describe themselves as having antiques, art, and curious goods. Curious goods indeed!

It was a good day.

Wow, thank you for the amazing "ride-along." For those of us who would've otherwise missed these super-cool, funky places, it was just like being there with you!!

P.S. Love that picture of you in front of the towering turquose chest of drawers...you look GAWGEOUS!!!
