Serendipity: A Vintage Boutique

Fabulous! Fabulous! Fabulous! I discovered a charming little vintage shop in downtown Kapaa. I actually saw it last Friday when we arrived on Kauai, but the store was closed with a cute little sign tacked up in the window saying the shop owner was a mom first, and a shopkeeper second. I like that (although I really really wanted the shop to be open) . I kept checking back and then on Monday, shazam!, the door was open. No words needed, that's for sure. The store was filled with my favorite kind of treasures.

This French country shelf is now mine, mine mine!

Mona, the shop owner and a sweet spirited woman, offered me a shell, saying that whenever a purse or something is sold that is designed to hold things, it is the native custom to offer a shell to place in it. Awwww, I love that kind of gesture.

Yess! I'm so glad to find your post. I happened upon this gem of a shop last week on a 1 day trip and was so very inspired by it and her. Yours is the only signature of her shop on the net. Thanks.
