Artfest or Bust!

I'm leaving at the crack of dawn on Wednesday, heading with Steph and Tory for Artfest in Port Townsend. The three of us will not be travelling light, so it was necessary to procure a trailer to haul all of our art stuff to the four-day art retreat. Howard to the rescue. He not only said we could borrow his utility trailer, he also gave us his consent to art it up just a tad. Today was the day for the transformation. Tory has already blogged about our day and gives an excellent narrative along with some spectacular photos. Check it out by clicking here. Here's my photo account of our project.

We had a visitor - Sam (of Lil' Gypsy). After giving us some pointers on painting flames, we put her to work taking photos of our work in progress.

After running a few errands, Sam brought us ice cream treats right about the time we were needing a sugar boost.

Howard pretended to be shocked at what we were doing to his trailer, but we actually had his full support and he's pretty excited to drive the trailer to the dump for the first time.

The last task of the day was painting/drawing the sign on the tailgate. Success!

We were a little woozy from breathing paint fumes for four hours, but here's a self-portrait of two crazy art chicks.

Ta da!

This is really amazingly cool! I'll be on the lookout for you guys in the parking lot. Maybe you could put some hay in there and haul us around the beach...
