Sweet Little Giveaway to Honor 800 Blog Posts!
In honor of my 800th blog post (800! process that for a minute), I'm giving away one of my Curious Elements. It's pretty simple, all you have to do is leave a comment on this post -- it doesn't have to be anything profound, you don't even have to tell me why you would like to win. In fact, you might just type: I hope it's me. Now if you want to say more, or want to go on and on how much you like my blog, well then I might do some pretty fun mail art when I pick your name and send you this sweet little gift. But not necessary. Okay, ready, set, GO. I'll randomly draw a name on Friday, May 11th, by noon, in case that's important. Thanks for playing.
Oh, and please be sure and leave some sort of contact information in case I don't know you. If you don't want to leave it as part of the comment, e-mail me a message with your comment to: dayna@alleyartstudio.com

Pick me! I can't wait to see what you'll be doing when you are my age. Currently surrounded by color in my newest creative process, I am inspired by all the colorful people in my life. I was once told I was turning into a beige person when I was in my 30's. I've never heard anything like that again!!

800 blog posts! omg! it seems like i've been blogging all my life and i only have a few over 100 posts . . . .(actually it's only been a couple of years)but still, 800 POSTS! that is something to celebrate! congratulations Dayna! i, too, look forward to your posts.
Hi Dayna,
I love your blog and have recommended it to many of my artist friends. Congratulations on your 800 postings. That is quite an accomplishment!
Hi Dayna! This is Joanna's daughter, Lauren. My three Curious Elements would love a new addition to the club!
dayna,
my comment got lost on your blog. it was there and now it is gone.i wrote something yesterday and it showed up as "unknown" i think. normally my name comes up as oma and i was too tired to try to attempt to change it last night.....
You inspire me to be creative, seriously.

Hi Dayna,
My name is Kay and I always look forward to your next blog post. Maybe I’m living vicariously through them. The area where you live seems to have such an active art scene (besides just being beautiful). Here in my area things seem to be a little more structured and serious. Love the faces you do. And the mixed media pieces are great. I’m a jewelry artist – started out seed beading and stringing but now find that I can’t walk down the street or through a parking lot without stopping to pick up bits and pieces of found objects to use.
Love the giveaway so needless to say, “I hope it’s me”.
It’s so nice to meet you.
Kay Hand
Since I am going to win the drawing, please send prize to :

oooooh i hope me's not too late! ;) a simply divine giveaway!
So strange . . . I left a comment on this post, but don't see it. I didn't wait to see if it actually showed up. Since it didn't, I missed the drawing, but I've learned another lesson in patience: wait to see if the comment's published before moving on!
I'll try again on your 900th or 1000th post!
I forgot to post this comment from a friend who sent this to me via e-mail. Here it is -- belatedly!
I came to blog- reading kicking and screaming. Consequently I’m severely selective as to whose blog knocks and enters my mind. Your blog is the adventure I never want to be left out of. “Are you coming?” your blog seems to ask. It’s as though you’ve received an edict from over the clouds, a place where artists are formed, with instructions to stimulate, instruct and fan the flames of creation, so that more art fills the world. And what a generous heart! You share your excellent instructional techniques, take us along on quirky exciting adventures via exquisite, touching, photos and go on to share your art, your thoughts, your comrades-in-art and your family with us. I appreciate how seriously you take your job and thank you for never boring or sending facile information. Your blog is like eating healthy food: it energizes and incites me forward to my own work. You’ve changed the way I feel about blogs!
Nina
