Window Shopping
I've done a couple of blog posts about the Oregon State Hospital Mental Health Museum, of which I am a member of the Advisory Board. We recently had the opportunity to share some artifacts from the museum and a few pieces of medical paraphernalia to bring awareness to the upcoming museum. Cooke's Stationery is a Salem office supply store that has been in business for 75 years and they have one of the best display windows anywhere downtown. So on Monday morning, Hazel, Marcia, Tony, and myself collected the items we had chosen in advance and descended on downtown Salem. We had fun playing with all of the pieces of memorabilia, arranging and rearranging until we were satisfied. A special thanks goes to Sam of Lil' Gypsy, who loaned us her very own Oregon State Hospital wool blanket to use in the display.
