We're over half way through our week long visit to New York City, a place I've always wanted to visit during the holidays. This is my third visit to the city, so it is always difficult to find the balance between visiting sights I love and exploring new places; I think we've been doing a bit of both. I'm traveling with my husband and two long-time friends. We've been here since Sunday, so I've assembled an abbreviated pictorial of what we've been up to. Rather than list and label every little thing, here's a running list of some of the things we've seen and visited: The United Nations, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Obscura Antiques and Oddities, The Museum of American Folk Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, a meet up with Seth Apter of The Altered Page (what a highlight), and the Museum of Modern Art. Of course we hit Central Park a couple of times, Rockefeller Center, and Times Square. We had a Paul McCartney sighting on Tuesday, that seemed rather exciting. We even got ourselves to two Broadway plays (Grace and Rock of Ages). I've been working on a travel journal in the evenings and first thing in the morning before heading out, but I'll save those photos for a separate post. Here are my photos of our meanderings through Wednesday night.
