Gallery Sitting 101

I experienced my first day of gallery sitting on Monday at Lunaria Gallery, the artist cooperative that I am now a full-fledged member of. The day begins with a glamorous bit of housekeeping.

And choosing music for the day.

Excited about my space.

I sold a big piece of art in the first week, so I needed to replace the empty area with a new piece.

In between customers I photographed the gallery.

It is such a lovely gallery. If you've never been in before, I hope you'll stop in for a visit.

congrats on becoming a full fledged member of such a wonderful gallery. i'm sure you will enjoy being part of a group of diverse and talented artists.
i recently became a member artist at one of our local galleries and i really enjoy being part of an art scene at a gallery that has been around for a few years, i love talking to customers that come in to the gallery, and i love love love the interaction with the other artists.
good luck, keep us posted on how it goes, and next time i am in portland i will definitely stop in to say "hey!"
